Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah

Written September 03. 2007 in School, Family
After a long weekend, to many 12-year-old, today is the beginning of the crucial UPSR examination battle.

One of them would be my ignorant and never-cared-less brother, Bryan. I rang home to check if he had difficulties while attempting the questions earlier this afternoon. His reply was merely predictable. The classic "Okay kua (paused)" *LOL* I heard numerous complaints from mum on his attitude towards the exam. She constantly made this particular comment on how different it is to 'educate' her son in comparison to her daughters.

It had been a long time since someone at home sits for the UPSR examination. And being the 'baby' at home, everybody is very anxious on behalf of this little boy.

The exam began with Bahasa Malaysia Penulisan this morning and Mathemathics Paper 1 in the afternoon; Mathematics Paper 2 tommorow and Science as well as English as the finale of the examination. (If I am not mistaken-larr) ;p

Little Things DO Matter

Written August 09. 2007 in Family

I received this sms from Dad earlier and I thought, how sweet of him. It read

"I've deposited 800 to yr a/c - 700 for Mun's phone, 100 for u to have small makan w friends. Happy 22nd"

Coming from someone as macho as Dad, the text made my day, I must admit :) Though it is a little early for the birthday wish. I received a friendster comment from Fei earlier informing me that I have not been forgotten and she do too remembers my big day. Some how, it is these little things which matters. Leaving home and being away from home is not as fun as I thought it would be.
